One X-Ray, two investors in a 1.5M euro pre-seed round.
Curiosity VC ran an X-Ray on Duqu's product and technology before investing. The same report was later shared with No Such Ventures, and both funds backed Duqu's 1.5M euro pre-seed round.

Duqu gives businesses an advance on outstanding B2B invoices, paid out within 24 hours, with its own AI underwriting engine doing the credit assessment. The platform is built AI-native, an example of how software is developed today. Before investing, Curiosity VC wanted an independent read on the technology and on whether it can grow with the volume.
How it went
Kick-off with the CTO
A short call with Victor to explain the process. After that, the only input from Duqu was connecting the repository and sharing a few documents.
The X-Ray
A full read of the codebase and the engineering patterns across it, benchmarked against more than 300 previous engagements. The report was ready about a day after repository access.
Investor read-out
A focused review with Curiosity VC, with the findings placed in the context of the investment decision. The report was then shared with the Duqu team.
“We built Duqu with AI. We went through the X-Ray report in detail and picked up the first recommendation straight away. A thorough analysis.”
What the X-Ray showed
- A well-built, AI-native codebase
- A real credit risk mechanism at the core of the platform
- Foundations that fit the company's stage
- Nothing that changed the investment case
The outcome
- A 1.5M euro pre-seed round, backed by Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures
- One report that served both investors, with no second technical DD
- A prioritised set of recommendations for the team, the first one picked up within days
